Early Prototype Near Completion

As some of you may know, we are excited about our new product venture, code-named Gloo.

Well, the early conceptual prototype is almost complete!  We will be presenting the prototype to a select group of potential customers and advisors to ensure that we are going down the right path.  Let us know if you would like to be considered.

Evolution

the business of creation (sm)

After building a few products,
        and launching some of them…
After starting a few companies,
        and assisting in other start-ups…
After doing all that a new company requires,
and then doing it again, and again…
After expanding from pure technology start-ups,
to outsourcing, to telemarketing, even to equestrian…

Some would say we have “found ourselves”,
but we merely say we “find ourselves here”…

Happily creating products & services,

Portals Out There

The portal landscape is always changing.  What portals are available out there… today?

Here is a snapshot for posterity.

Of course, BEA Weblogic, IBM WebSphere, Microsoft SharePoint but…

What else?

Too many, but here are some good places to start looking.

IPC … what does it mean to you?

To us, IPC means …

“Inter Portlet Communication”

This is a common issue for portals.  Not just for classic portals, but also for widget containers.

Put simply, IPC means keeping portlets in-synch.  That is, enabling an event in one portlet to affect one or more other portlets.

We are developing our position paper on the topic, and thought we would share some of the sources we are referencing, in the hopes that it might help someone else.

The Aximal List

Welcome to the new blog home of Aximal.

We are busy creating a new company right now, but wanted to take a moment to reach out to the blogosphere.

Nothing pretentious, not seeking followers or fans.  Just experimenting a bit.

Today’s post is a stream-of-consciousness list of technologies, websites and concepts on our collective minds.  If you find a “salient nugget” (to quote Todd Nuckols), then grab it and go.  Have some thoughts to share?  Go for it.

We are always on the hunt for the technology and tools that can help us bring revolutionary solutions to the web.
